CURRENT OPEN POSITIONS

Consulting Associate / Senior Associate

Associates will be responsible for helping support all aspects of Insight Sourcing Group’s client-facing projects, with direction from the firm’s experienced executive team. Both Associates and Senior Associates are expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for client decision making.

Typical projects would include Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Transformation, Spend Analytics, and Make-or-Buy Analyses.

Specific responsibilities would include the following:

  • Develop robust sourcing strategies and recommendations
  • Develop and foster relationships with client stakeholders
  • Manage Insight Sourcing Group and client project resources
  • Facilitate developing project strategies and project plans
  • Work with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements
  • Synthesize disparate data sources into insightful analysis and clear deliverables
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders
  • Present project results and recommendations to client executives
  • Analyze project financial results to guide management decisions
  • Coordinate communications with internal and external project team
  • Support new product/service development within Insight Sourcing Group and help launch efforts
  • Contribute to Insight Sourcing Group’s strategic decisions and direction
  • Exhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationships
  • Achieve excellence in execution of projects and initiatives
  • Limited travel, as needed

Qualifications for the Associate position include:

  • 3-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • Demonstrated project management, consulting, leadership and analytical skills
  • Prefer procurement and strategic sourcing experience, but will develop with the right candidate
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives
  • Proficient at building and maintaining client relationships; proven client facing skills
  • Ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects, tasks and initiatives simultaneously
  • Comfortable in an entrepreneurial, performance-driven environment
  • B.S. in Business or Engineering with a strong GPA and/or Management Consulting experience

I.T. Sourcing Senior Associate

Insight Sourcing Group is seeking an experienced Software category subject matter expert to join its fast-growing I.T. procurement consulting practice as a Senior Associate. The Senior Associate will be responsible for identifying and capturing sustainable contract hard savings through leading effective sourcing processes and negotiations. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with competitive bidding (RFx), proposal evaluation, vendor selection and risk assessment within the software category.

This is an exciting new role within the company and will be pivotal in helping to build out the new I.T. procurement practice, so the candidate must be hard-working, intelligent, and passionate about the software space.

Specific responsibilities would include the following associated with IT areas of spend:

  • Develop robust sourcing strategies and recommendations
  • Develop and foster relationships with client stakeholders
  • Manage both Insight Sourcing Group and client project resources

  • Extensive experience with procuring enterprise level application and system software (perpetual, subscription based, SaaS/Cloud) with the leading market vendors
  • Serve as the Software category SME for market insights and thought leadership for colleagues, client stakeholders and the organization as a whole

Analyst – ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions

Insight Sourcing Group is specifically looking for an Analyst candidate to join our firm’s Energy Practice. ISG Enterprise Energy Solutions is an exciting area of growth for the firm and drives tremendous value for clients. The practice focuses on managing energy spend for Insight Sourcing Group clients, from retail to industrial. The Energy team works closely with clients to identify and meet goals in cost savings initiatives, budgeting processes, and hedging market risks. The Energy practice is of growing importance to our firm’s strategic goals and over-all value offering to our clients.

We are actively recruiting Analyst candidates with one to three years’ experience in the Consulting or Energy industries as well as candidates coming directly out of a top undergraduate Engineering or Business program for this role.

The Energy Analyst’s responsibilities will include:

  • Balancing multiple workflows and projects at once
  • Meeting deadlines on project execution and deliverables
  • Developing expertise in Energy procurement processes

Analysis, identification, negotiation, and implementation of more economical rates with clients’ regulated utility providers

  • Develop a proficiency in understanding regulated market tariffs
  • Coordinate a client’s geographic footprint and business type with market opportunities
  • Create detailed analyses that evaluate the effect of switching utility rate schedules
  • Clearly communicate final recommendations to clients


Energy Procurement & Risk Management
Proactive sourcing of energy in deregulated markets (electricity and natural gas) by leveraging buying power while managing volatility in energy markets

  • Identify procurement opportunities for clients
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies based on client goals
  • Communicate directly with energy suppliers during procurement projects
  • Analyze price responses in order to develop a recommendation deliverable to a client
  • Monitor overall market trends for procurement opportunities


Demand-Side Management & Energy Efficiency

Creation of operational improvements through metering / monitoring coupled with energy efficiency and demand-limiting solutions

  • Proactively identify energy efficiency and demand-side management opportunities both internally and to client
  • Monitor the cost and energy savings after a project has been implemented
  • Manage the energy efficiency project pipeline for the client
  • Develop financial business cases to present to client
