Consulting Associate / Senior Associate

Associates will be responsible for helping support all aspects of Insight Sourcing Group’s client-facing projects, with direction from the firm’s experienced executive team. Both Associates and Senior Associates are expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for client decision making.

Typical projects would include Strategic Sourcing, Procurement Transformation, Spend Analytics, and Make-or-Buy Analyses.

Specific responsibilities would include the following:

  • Develop robust sourcing strategies and recommendations
  • Develop and foster relationships with client stakeholders
  • Manage Insight Sourcing Group and client project resources
  • Facilitate developing project strategies and project plans
  • Work with clients to identify and interpret key project requirements
  • Synthesize disparate data sources into insightful analysis and clear deliverables
  • Build consensus among client stakeholders
  • Present project results and recommendations to client executives
  • Analyze project financial results to guide management decisions
  • Coordinate communications with internal and external project team
  • Support new product/service development within Insight Sourcing Group and help launch efforts
  • Contribute to Insight Sourcing Group’s strategic decisions and direction
  • Exhibit integrity in decisions and firm relationships

Qualifications for the Associate position include:

  • 3-6 years of relevant professional experience
  • Strong work ethic and high level of integrity
  • Demonstrated project management, consulting, leadership and analytical skills
  • Prefer procurement and strategic sourcing experience, but will develop with the right candidate
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office (Excel & PowerPoint) products, including the ability to develop and interpret complex analytical models and ad-hoc reports
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to present comfortably to senior executives
  • Proficient at building and maintaining client relationships; proven client facing skills

Experienced Data Analyst – ISG Energy

Insight Sourcing Group is specifically looking for a Data Analyst candidate to join ISG’s Energy Practice. Insight Sourcing Group’s Energy Practice is an exciting area of growth for the firm and drives tremendous value for clients. The practice focuses on managing energy spend for ISG clients across all industry verticals, from national retailers to heavy industrials. The Energy team works closely with clients to identify goals and develop strategies for reducing costs, hedging against market risks, setting budgets and tracking financial performance, and delivering on demand-side / sustainability solutions.

The Energy practice is of growing importance to ISG’s strategic goals and over-all value offering to our clients. ISG is actively recruiting Data Analyst candidates with one to three years’ experience in the field of data entry and data analytics to fulfill this role.

Specific responsibilities would include the following:

Director of Sustainability

Our firm’s dedicated Energy practice is currently looking to add a new position to lead our sustainability and renewable energy advisory/consulting business. Critical to the role are industry experience and a proven track record in strategy development, project finance/management, communication, and passion for companies to achieve Sustainability goals. This role will help define our product and service offerings specifically pertaining to corporate sustainability needs and renewable energy technologies.

As the Director of Sustainability, you will work directly with our clients and partners to understand their corporate sustainability needs, requirements, and goals. You will have the opportunity to build a portfolio of clients, assisting them with their corporate sustainability strategies. You will also define the training needs for junior associates and sales associates/executives required to deliver these new offerings.

Additionally, you will work with Energy Team leadership to evaluate and grow revenue opportunities through integrated value propositions between ISG Energy and other ISG verticals.

  • Develop and execute a project plan to identify sustainability market trends, build brand awareness, and stay well-informed on changing renewable regulations
    • Industry Conferences/Networking Events

Logistics Sourcing Consultant

The Logistics Procurement Consultant will have a dedicated focus within our Logistics Center of Excellence (COE) to support all aspects of client-facing Logistics sourcing and cost optimization projects. Insight Sourcing Group’s Logistics COE sources billions of dollars in logistics annually across all major modes and categories. The Consultant will be expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making. Further, the Logistics Procurement Consultant will play an important role in deepening the expertise of our Logistics Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale our firm’s Logistics capabilities.

80% Client Sourcing Strategy/Execution, Consulting, Project Management

  • Project Execution – master and continually improve project results and client outcomes
    • Ensure effective delivery of client project work and client deliverables through strong project management, team management, and client management skills
    • Develop creative strategies and recommendations
    • Lead and own detailed RFP analysis workstreams
    • Provide Logistics thought leadership and benchmarking
    • Manage ISG project support resources and coordinate with subject matter experts within and outside of the firm

    • Create and curate deliverable content (POV slides, case studies, whitepapers, etc.) to capture Logistics category knowledge and ultimately support internal knowledge share and business development
    • Develop and execute strategies to aggregate data for ongoing benchmarking, insight generation, and data analysis
    • Assist with ongoing development and management of intellectual capital
  • Insight Analytics – support ISG’s Insight Analytics practice in developing Logistics category dashboards and key insights
    • Collaborate with members of the Insight Analytics team to develop key metrics
    • Support standardization of visualization across Logistics categories
  • Spend Visibility – enhance ISG’s category knowledge and understanding of vendor base
    • Assist in ongoing review and revision of Logistics taxonomy and categorization
    • Assist in reconciling client-provided taxonomy or legacy ISG taxonomy with current preferred taxonomy
    • Support development of procurement roadmaps
  • Strategic sourcing experience AND a consulting background are strongly sought
