The Manager will have a dedicated focus on ISG’s IT Center of Excellence to support all aspects of client-facing IT sourcing and cost optimization projects.  The Manager will be expected to work closely with clients and suppliers to drive project initiatives and will lead consulting, problem solving, project management and data analysis that will be the basis for strategic client decision making.  Further, the Manager will play an important role in deepening the expertise of ISG’s IT Center of Excellence and capturing knowledge to support business development opportunities while helping scale ISG’s IT capabilities.

The Role

The consultant position will solely focus on Direct Materials sourcing initiatives and will be primarily responsible for project execution, providing expertise in sales opportunities, and playing a pivotal role in developing our Direct Materials practice. Specific job responsibilities and activities, based on experience, could include the following:

  • Develop and execute sourcing strategies for our clients across key direct material categories that encompass the following:
    • Category Opportunity Identification: Identifying target spend categories and developing a prioritization roadmap with initial savings hypotheses
    • Strategy Development: Creating robust sourcing strategies based on a deep understanding the current state of the category, key cost drivers, and the supply market
    • Strategy Execution:  Driving timely implementation of project execution efforts to ensure effective delivery while leveraging price, process, and demand sourcing levers to meet key project objectives
    • Supplier Negotiations: Leading fact-based supplier negotiations that leverage cost benchmarks, should cost models, and market intel

  • Strong experiencing driving cost optimization or process improvement initiatives across our key Direct Material focus categories: Metals (steel, aluminum, metalworking, etc.), and Plastics (resins, plastic processing, etc.), Chemicals (commodity chemicals, adhesives, etc.)
  • Preference for experience in Supply Chain and Procurement with manufacturing companies; management consulting and / or industry experience is a plus
  • Considerable knowledge and experience leveraging price, process, and demand sourcing levers to drive value in complex direct materials categories
  • Understanding of global sourcing, should-cost modeling, calculating total cost of ownership, and supplier / product testing and qualification requirements

Insight Sourcing Group is specifically looking for a Data Analyst candidate to join ISG’s Energy Practice. Insight Sourcing Group’s Energy Practice is an exciting area of growth for the firm and drives tremendous value for clients. The practice focuses on managing energy spend for ISG clients across all industry verticals, from national retailers to heavy industrials. The Energy team works closely with clients to identify goals and develop strategies for reducing costs, hedging against market risks, setting budgets and tracking financial performance, and delivering on demand-side / sustainability solutions.

 

The underlying foundation for the Energy Practice is access to timely and accurate data. Our Energy Data Analyst will play a vital role in extracting and transforming data for use in our offerings. The Data Analyst will need to utilize technology to access and internally publish the data to enable RFPs, rate comparisons, market insights and savings calculations among other things. The data will also be published externally on client facing websites so accuracy will be vital. The data is sourced in online platforms, market indices, third party utility processors and client spreadsheets and bills. Expertise in handling data of various types is required.

We’re looking for a Sales Executive to join Insight Energy!  This position requires a highly motivated, competitive business professional who is passionate about energy and sustainability and committed to succeeding in energy consulting services sales.  The role is focused on growing Insight Energy’s traditional energy management and sustainability businesses via the identification and acquisition of new clients.  The Energy Sales Executive must manage all activities throughout the consultative sales process, identifying needs, providing solutions and exceeding expectations.  Preference will be given to individuals with experience acquiring commercial, industrial, or institutional accounts for retail suppliers or energy consultants.

 

Position Responsibilities

New Logo Acquisition – 90%

Diligently acquire new clients to profitably grow Insight Energy’s consulting business by selling energy supply management and sustainability consulting services and associated products

  • Meet or exceed all new business development objectives
